Chemical properties: This product is a white crystal. Easily soluble in water. Difficult to dissolve in anhydrous ethanol, ether, and benzene. It has strong reducibility at high temperatures. Has fading properties. Under high temperature, it decomposes to produce toxic gases such as formaldehyde and hydrogen sulfide. It decomposes when exposed to dilute acids, and its solution is neutral. The melting point of anhydrous material is 63~64 ℃. Surface density 1.80-1.85 g/cm3.
 
Application
 
-As a bleaching agent, it is used in industries such as textiles, paper making, and food.
-As a reducing agent, it is used in organic synthesis, electroplating, photosensitive materials, and other fields.
-As an inhibitor of oxidants, it is used to prevent the oxidation reaction of oxidants to other substances.
-As a developer for photosensitive materials, it is used in the fields of photography and printing.
